Most side hustlers do so while working a 9–5, but it is usually their ultimate goal to start their own profitable business.

If you come up with an idea for a business or are thinking of scaling up, at some point, you will consider quitting your day job to pursue your dream.

Nevertheless, too often people become obsessed with their business ideas and act impulsively, only to find out that their ideas aren’t as strong as they first thought.

Growing your business while you’re still employed is usually the safest and most profitable way to grow your business.

But at what point do you begin to consider working on this full-time?

While everyone’s circumstances are different, it is beneficial to weigh these steps before jumping right in.

1. Maximize your Investment

Consider how much you would be making 2- 3 years from now.

You probably spent a lot of time and money launching your business idea and it may be beneficial to wait till you make a solid return on your investments.

Your day job may provide you the luxury to continue to build your side hustle until you reach a good financial standing to starting a new career.
