STIMULUS SOON $1400 Third Stimulus Checks Update + WEEKLY Unemployment SSI SSDI

One of the most controversial provisions in the drafting of the bill, the minimum wage increase to $15 per hour by 2025 was included in the relief bill despite disputes.

It’s not likely to make it into the final law since the Senate parliamentarian, a nonpartisan official who decides which bills qualify to pass the upper chamber via reconciliation, decided Thursday that it did not meet the standards.

Pelosi said House Democrats had preserved the wage increase in their bill to send a message about its importance, even if it ultimately had to be removed from the final legislation.

She stated, “This is a spectacular piece of legislation. While the Senate has prevented us temporarily from passing one aspect of it, let us not be distracted from what is in here, because it is a great bill.”

We hope that the Senate doesn’t make any further changes so that we may still get the relief to help the economy.
