Third Stimulus Check Update Unemployment Benefits Bill

It’s looking like the government may be able to take back the $1400 stimulus checks of millions of Americans, with funds possibly being seized by private collectors for unpaid debts.

Debt collectors will be able to garnish the third round of cash payments unless Congress acts quickly to prevent creditors from taking stimulus funds, as the checks will not be exempt from garnishment.

Senator Ron Wyden explained that he aims to pass legislation to keep these stimulus checks in the pockets of millions of Americans: “I will be introducing standalone legislation to ensure families receive their much-needed relief payments.”

Hopefully, no stimulus checks are seized by the government or private collectors, as millions of Americans are still desperately in need of these vital stimulus disaster relief funds.

Meanwhile, a new study from the Census Bureau shows how Americans are spending, saving, and paying off debt with their stimulus checks.
