STATES PAYING $300 Unemployment Extensions PUA FPUC PEUC Cares Act Unemployment Benefits

Here’s your unemployment update for Sunday, January 17th, 2021

But first, The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity says it’s started processing the $300 Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC) payments.

People collecting unemployment should see these payments hitting their accounts along with their underlying state benefits.

DEO also says it’s still working on implementing the continuation of PEUC and PUA.

The department stated, “CONNECT will not be available Sat. January 16th through Mon. January 18th.”

They are using that time to implement the CARES Act programs, process payments, and send necessary correspondence to claimants including tax documentation and the site will be back up on Tuesday, January 19th.

These programs are retroactive to the week ending January 2, 2021.

The DEO says you will be able to request benefits soon so just hang on tight for more information.
