STATES PAYING $300 Unemployment Extension Unemployment Benefits NEW Update PEUC PUA Stimulus

Here’s your unemployment update for Sunday, March 21st, 2021

Starting Monday, Floridians will begin receiving additional weeks of unemployment benefits because of the federal stimulus.

People receiving checks through the PEUC program or the pUA programs will be able to receive additional weeks of unemployment benefits through Labor Day, Sept. 6th.

The department said in a tweet, “The Department is working diligently to fully implement program extensions for claimants receiving PUA, and these updates should be made available soon.”

They are urging that claimants should continue to request their benefit payments as weeks become available in their CONNECT account if they remain unemployed.

This is fantastic news and so glad Florida was able to pay their residents fast.

Up next, Berkeley and Charleston counties in South Carolina received nearly $19 million in relief to help residents who are unable to pay rent or utilities.

“Berkeley received $6.89 million from the Emergency Rental Assistance Program, while Charleston County got $12 million.”
