STATES PAYING $300/$400 Unemployment Extension 11 WEEKS PUA FPUC Unemployment Benefits
Here’s your unemployment update for Saturday, February 13th, 2021
The Kansas Department of Labor announced Friday when people can expect to receive payments under a federal extension program.
Kansans will be able to file for the PEUC program, which is an extension for people who’ve exhausted state unemployment benefits by Feb. 19th.
While some people are already expecting payments, others are wondering what’s causing the delay.
The department said it can’t speak to individual claimant situations but they are encouraging people to call their call center or use the online chat feature for help.
Lawmakers have said fraudulent activity could be the reason for the delay.
The department launches the program next week and said it will announce more details.
Meanwhile, Ohio lawmakers quiz a cabinet official for the delays in unemployment benefits.
Ohio Department of Job and Family Services Director Kimberly Henderson faced pointed questions from state lawmakers.
