A man living in my home city of Las Vegas, NV, was charged this week for fraudulently claiming almost $2 million in PPP loans, spending the money on lavish homes and automobiles.

Authorities claim that the man spend the fraudulent funds on: a Tesla, a Bentley, his home mortgage, and purchasing two condominiums.

According to Fox News: The DOJ has prosecuted more than 100 defendants for PPP fraud and seized more than $60 million in cash, real estate properties, and luxury items since the program first began nine months ago.

I’m glad that the DOJ were able to secure these fraudulent funds, and hope that they will go back into the pot for eligible small businesses to claim these forgivable PPP loans.
