NEW UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS INTO SEPTEMBER PUA FPUC Stimulus Unemployment Checks Bidens Plan
Here’s your unemployment update for Monday, January 11th, 2021.
It’s Thursday, which means you know we’ve got to talk about the weekly jobs report from our old chums at the Department of Labor.
This week’s report showed some bad news for the economy, as the actual unemployment figures were way higher than last week, and underperformed the estimates of those DOW Jones economists.
The weekly report showed that 965,000 Americans filed their first-time unemployment claims, which is significantly higher than the previous week’s 784,000 initial claims.
These numbers are also well above the 800,000 initial claims predicted by economists, breaking the streak of 3 weeks in a row of decreasing weekly unemployment claims.
With almost a million Americans filing their first-time unemployment claims last week, I hope that the government can see how big of an issue this is for millions of Americans, and provide us with more disaster relief funds.
