Stimulus check, your second stimulus check, your executive order, action, memorandums, moratoriums, and stimulus package NEW STIMULUS BILL PASSED Second $1,200 Stimulus Checks Next Week Unemployment Benefits PUA SSI SSDI update for Thursday, December 10th, 2020.

Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson has joined forces with the CEOs from Walmart and McDonalds, writing a letter hoping to nudge Congress into passing a Phase 4 disaster relief bill as soon as possible.

Johnson stated: “We need Congress to take action.”

He continued: “Starbucks urges Congress to take immediate bipartisan action to pass new relief legislation to address the urgent needs in our communities, especially for the millions of Americans out of work, small businesses facing economic uncertainty, and the public health needs of state and local governments on the front lines of the pandemic.”

Walmart CEO Doug McMillon echoed these comments, explaining: “If you have been let go and don’t have income, you really need help. The voice we have at Walmart is to say to Congress and the administration we need you to help those people who need help.”

I totally agree with these CEOs and hope that we can finally get some stimulus funds so that we can have the resources to stimulate the economy and our bank accounts.

Meanwhile, Senator Josh Hawley introduced a new stimulus bill today, that would offer the same stimulus check parameters that were provided in the CARES Act, meaning another round of $1,200 checks to millions of Americans.

He explained: “The most important thing that Congress can do is send direct assistance checks to every working family who needs them.”

Hawley continued: “It’s what every single senator has already supported, so there should be no fiddling about ‘oh I don’t know this is different.’ It’s exactly what every senator has voted for once.”

Stating that he will not approve any stimulus package that does not contain more direct payments, Hawley continued: “If the negotiators can’t reach some sort of compromise I will go to the floor next week and I’ll ask for an up or down vote on that.”

This is great news for our hopes of receiving another round of stimulus checks, as there are still Congressional members fighting to get us the disaster relief funds we still need so badly.

Finally, the House of Representatives passed a new stimulus bill yesterday, which offers Congress an additional week to sort out their budget issues, and hopefully add in some stimulus items to help us out too.

The bill now heads to the Senate, where if it is not approved, will officially end funding for the government this Saturday.

This new proposal pushes the deadline back to December 18th, which will give these politicians some extra time to figure out the Phase 4 disaster relief bill, as well as their own funding initiatives.

Hopefully, Mitch McConnell and the rest of the Senate can pass this continuing resolution by the end of today, giving the stimulus players more time to come up with a disaster relief bill that would help millions of struggling Americans.
