NEW STATE PAYING $1200 Unemployment Benefits Extension SSDI SSI Stimulus Update PUA FPUC $300/$400.
Here’s your unemployment update for Thursday, January 28th, 2021 Stimulus check update.
Happy Thursday, which means that we have to discuss the state of the US economy in this week’s jobs report from our buddies over at the Department of Labor.
This week’s jobs report once again displayed some good news for the economy, as the actual unemployment figures were lower than last week, and exceeded the estimates of the economists from the DOW Jones.
The weekly report showed that 847,000 Americans filed their first-time unemployment claims, which is significantly lower than the previous week’s 914,000 initial claims.
These numbers are also below the 875,000 first time claims predicted by economists, and starts a new streak of decreasing initial unemployment claims with 2 weeks in a row, which I’m thrilled to see.
Meanwhile, the great state of Kansas recently made the unfortunate announcement that their state’s unemployment system will be going dark to combat rampant unemployment fraud.
