Chipotle is offering 250,000 deserving Americans some extra stimulus funds, in the form of a free burrito for health care workers.

They explained in a tweet: “250,000 free burritos. 250,000 thank yous. Healthcare heroes, apply for a free entrée. If you’re not a healthcare hero, tag one with your message of thanks. We’ll deliver those too.”

Chipotle Chief Marketing Officer Chris Brandt stated: “Given the events of the past year, we are once again bringing our fans together to show appreciation for the heroic efforts of the healthcare community.”

It’s amazing to see Chipotle deliver a quarter of a million stimulus burritos to hard-working and deserving health care workers, who have been some of the biggest heroes over the past 13 months of craziness.

Meanwhile, the US economy had an incredible first quarter, with the GDP growing at a 6.4% annual rate.

Thanks in large part to the many stimulus checks and disaster relief programs offered to millions of Americans, the Conference Board stated this week: “Consumer confidence rose in April to the highest level in 14 months.”
