If the recent update from NASA about the “Moon Wobble” eventually causing record flooding in some areas has you thinking more about the climate and where to live, then you are not alone.

As weather patterns change (granted, over a long period of time), so do our environment and quality of life. NASA’s report about the moon’s orbit combined with rising sea levels indicates that some areas in our country may not be suited for living in even less than a decade.

This may sound all doom and gloom, but really, we most likely won’t see the worst of these effects in our lifetime. For somebody who wants to get ahead of the curve, however, here is a guide to what real estate is looking good in the future of climate change.

What Should You Look For?

As mentioned, flooding is a big concern for the future considering rising sea levels, so some distance between you and the sea is a must, but there are other factors to consider.

  • Temperature

Things aren’t necessarily going to get warmer, it’s just that the extremes will be much more exaggerated. Hot days will be hotter, and weather will be more impactful, which is why a moderate climate that doesn’t get much weather is ideal.

  • Water
