The casual dining industry took a massive hit over the past 12 months, but I’m happy to report that this vital sector is picking up steam and getting a much-needed boost, thanks to those $1,400 stimulus checks from the American Rescue Plan.

According to Kalinowski Equity Research, casual dining is down just 1.2% so far in the first quarter of 2021.

Compare that to the staggering 13.1% during Q1 of last year, the mess that was 2020.

Restaurants such as Texas Roadhouse and Olive Garden have seen significant boosts in sales, with some locations bringing in more during 2021 than 2019 levels during this same time frame.

I don’t know about y’all, but I’m thrilled that restaurants and casual dining establishments are making a strong comeback, as there’s nothing better than eating a great meal at a local restaurant.

Meanwhile, we’ve been talking about this issue for weeks now, and it finally looks like 30 million deserving Americans could get their long-awaited $1,400 stimulus checks in the next 24 hours.
