EASY MONEY Unemployment Benefits Unemployment Extension PUA FPUC $300/$400
Here’s your unemployment update for Wednesday, January 27th, 2021 Stimulus check update.
With millions of Americans falling victim to unemployment fraud in the last year, your credit score could take a significant dip if you don’t take action to explain that your identity was stolen.
Rod Griffin, senior director of Consumer Education and Advocacy for Experian, explained: “You need to work with the IRS and other agencies that don’t report information like that to the credit bureaus.”
He continued: “Your credit report includes information about your debts. If it’s not debt related, it likely won’t be on the credit report.”
Griffin also mentions talking directly with your credit agency, stating: “we’ll share that with the other credit-reporting agencies so that if something does appear, you will be notified of it. Anytime someone’s using your identity.”
This is very important information for the unfortunate Americans that have experienced unemployment fraud, and can help to stop the bleeding and get a handle on your finances and credit score.
