A recent study from the Penn-Wharton Budget Model (PWBM), shows some very interesting information about what nearly 3/4ths of Americans plan to do with their $1,400 stimulus checks.

According to the study, 73% of Americans intend to use their $1,400 stimulus payments on household savings, with the other 27% planning to spend their stimulus checks on increased consumption.

John Ricco, a senior analyst at PWBM, explained: “At this point, we find that there is a lot of additional money flowing into households that don’t necessarily have the ability to spend that on additional goods and services.”

Speaking about the improving state of the economy, Ricco stated: “Now, household balance sheets are in a much better place than they were at that time.”
