Here’s your daily stimulus check update for January 15th, 2021.

You’d think that the Democrats would be thrilled with President-Elect Joe Biden’s recently proposed $1.9 trillion stimulus package, but not all Dems are on board with this new disaster relief bill.

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez criticized Biden’s new stimulus package, as she believes that the new disaster relief bill is still not enough to help millions of struggling Americans.

Speaking to the Washington Post, AOC stated: “$2,000 means $2,000. $2,000 does not mean $1,400.″

She also argued for more unemployment funds, saying: “unemployment benefits should be retroactive too.

While I’d love to see $2,000 stimulus checks instead of $1,400 direct payments, I think this new stimulus bill is a great start to helping countless Americans with some much needed financial stability.

Meanwhile, today is the last day that the IRS will be sending out stimulus checks and debit cards, which means that the check should be in the mail and on it’s way to your place soon.
