9 STATES END UNEMPLOYMENT 24 HR Unemployment Extension
California is once again reinstating its job search requirements for all unemployment claimants across the Golden State
In a press release yesterday, California’s EDD program explained: “The requirement to search for work has been a part of the unemployment insurance program since its inception.”
They continued: “During the pandemic, the federal government temporarily allowed states to waive this requirement, and since March 2020 the work search requirement has been suspended in California.”
EDD Director Rita Saenz stated she would help Californians find new employment, saying: “We want to make sure those on unemployment have enough lead time to start searching for work so they can remain eligible for benefits as they seek their next career opportunity.”
With most states across America demanding job search requirements to obtain unemployment benefits, you’ll likely have to show that you have been looking for employment to receive your disaster relief stimulus unemployment benefits.
