Watch Stimulus Update

Daily stimulus check, your second stimulus check, your executive action, executive order, memorandums, moratoriums, and stimulus package update for Thursday, December 31st, 2020.

As I talked about yesterday, the IRS Get My Payment portal on their website is set to go live at any moment, which can assist you in receiving your $600 stimulus checks.

With tons of stimulus checks already hitting bank accounts across America, here’s some helpful tips for navigating the IRS website and getting your stimulus check as soon as possible.

The website may ask for personal information to verify your identity, such as: Social Security Number or Individual Tax ID Number, Date of birth, Street address and Five-digit ZIP or postal code.

For those looking to get a direct deposit, you’ll likely have to provide: Your adjusted gross income from your 2019 tax return, The refund or amount owed from your 2019 tax return, The type of your bank account (e.g., savings or checking); and Your bank account and routing numbers.

I’ll let y’all know when the Get My Payment website goes live once again, so stay tuned to the channel for the latest and greatest breaking stimulus updates as we head into 2021.

Meanwhile, I’ve heard a common question from so many of you in the comments: Andrew, I got my $600 stimulus check yesterday, but what happens if the $2,000 direct payments are approved?

After reading through dozens of articles, I finally found an answer to this pressing question.

According to the Treasury Department, if Congress approves the $2,000 stimulus checks, those that have already received $600: “that have been issued will be topped up as quickly as possible.”

This means that you’ll probably see another direct payment from the IRS for $1,400, while those that have not received their second stimulus checks will get a payment for the full $2,000.

With the Treasury, House of Representatives and President Trump on board for $2,000 stimulus checks, I just hope that Mitch McConnell and the Senate can finally deliver us our much needed disaster relief funds.

Finally, Senator and former presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, begged Mitch and the rest of the stingy Senate to approve those $2,000 stimulus checks on a rare Fox News appearance yesterday.

In the interview, Sanders remarkably agreed with President Trump on the issue, stating: “He happens to be right on this issue. I think he is correct in saying that we are living in a terrible, terrible economic moment for tens of millions of working-class families.”

Sanders also stated: “We fought very hard to get the $600 direct payment. Trump is right in saying that’s not enough. We need to go to $2,000.”

He also said: “Deficit is an issue. But I think this — at this moment, we have got to do the right thing for working families.”

I completely agree with Bernie here, and hope that the Senate can finally get us our $2,000 stimulus checks, as they are currently the only roadblock standing in our way.
