Starter credit cards encourage beginners to be responsible as they include benefits that forgive beginner mistakes such as waiving late fees so that you can begin the habit of making your payments on time.

As a beginner, you need to begin the process of building your credit since you don’t have one.

A credit card secured by a savings account, for example, will help you by reporting your payment history to the credit bureaus therefore building your credit.
