The great state of Pennsylvania announced that they will finally be upgrading their state’s unemployment system, which will replace an obsolete 40-year-old mainframe legacy system.

Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry Acting Secretary Jennifer Berrier explained: “The new system will be easy to use, provide access to important information and streamline the unemployment claim filing process for workers, employers, unemployment program staff and third-party administrators.”

She also stated that: “It will also provide access to more information and self-serve options and reduce the need for claimants to contact the UC service center.”

Meanwhile, a recent study of U.S. labor markets conducted by The Wall Street Journal looked at which cities across America were hurt less by that thing out there and are hiring employees at the highest rate.

Closing out the top 5 are Austin, Denver, Indianapolis, and Kansas City.

Meanwhile, the hardest-hit cities include popular tourist destinations, like my hometown of Las Vegas, New York…
