The IRS recently announced that they have handed out all of their “legally permitted” $600 stimulus checks.

This means that if you never received your second stimulus check totaling $600, you’ll likely have to wait until you file taxes to obtain your disaster relief funds.

The IRS claims that they have “delivered more than 147 million second-round stimulus checks, worth over $142 billion.”

If you did not receive your first, or second stimulus checks, make sure to file your taxes early this year, and claim a Recovery Rebate Credit for 2020 tax returns, which should be on line 30 of the 2020 Form 1040 or 1040-SR.

Meanwhile, US retail shopping increased a whopping 5.3% during the month of January, thanks in large part to stimulus checks hitting bank accounts and Americans using the funds to stimulate the economy.
